Presently, Kuwait has 11 local banks which also includes 5 Islamic banks and all of them are supervised by the Kuwait Central Bank in order to maintain the stability of Kuwaiti Dinar, and it also serves as the financial adviser and the banker to the Kuwait government. Further, MNC’s like HSBC, Citi-group etc. are also operating in the banking segment of Kuwait.



Finance for agricultural related projects and industrial are served by the Industrial Bank. Two specialized banks that are owned by the Kuwait government offers medium to long term financing which focuses on Savings bank and credit facilities to its clients or the customers which shall ensure smooth supply of money in the entire economy.
